This is a professional master’s programme designed to meet the needs of working professionals, with a duration of just one academic year. Despite the shorter duration, it awards a master’s degree with the same level of qualification, rigor, and recognition as other study cycles leading to the same degree.
2. Who can apply?
Teachers, trainers, and professionals in the field of education with at least 5 years of professional experience may apply.
3. What is the duration and structure of the programme?
The programme lasts 1 academic year (60 ECTS) and is organized into 4 terms:
- 1st term – Building conceptual and methodological foundations.
- 2nd term – Project definition and planning, combined with practice-oriented courses.
- 3rd term – Project development, including the creation of digital content in a laboratory environment.
- 4th term – Project completion, report writing, and public defense.
4. Does the programme include a practical component?
Yes. This master’s programme has a strong practical and applied component, focused on solving real-world challenges in professional contexts.
Throughout the programme, students develop skills through:
- Designing and implementing an applied project aligned with their professional context;
- Producing digital content and educational resources;
- Participating in laboratory activities and practical workshops;

Attendance requirements depend on the criteria defined for each course unit.
For example, participation may account for a percentage of the final grade (e.g., 10%), not necessarily resulting in failure in case of absence, but affecting the final mark.

It is predominantly in person.

10. How does the application process work?
Applications are submitted online via the Polytechnic University of Tomar website.
