Table Tennis was invented in the United Kingdom, more precisely in the 19th century, where it was known as “ping-pong”, until it became a registered trademark and that is why the name in Europe was changed to table tennis, being the name ping-pong currently used only for recreational purposes.
The IPT has representation in this sport through some athletes.
