L-TOUR is a point of technical and scientific convergence between the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, national and international higher education institutions, public entities, companies, tourism agents, cultural agents and communities.

Its activities are oriented towards providing efficient, innovative and strategic responses to the needs of tourism and cultural development in the region and in the national territory, through applied research, consultancy, training, the creation of tourism and cultural products, the organisation of events, the inventory and enhancement of endogenous resources, heritage interpretation and content production.

The Laboratory also develops activities supporting the design of tourism experiences, routes, itineraries, circuits, evaluation models and technology-oriented solutions, promoting the articulation between scientific knowledge, territorial needs, applied innovation and knowledge transfer.

 The integration of students and graduates into real projects is a central dimension of its activity, strengthening entrepreneurship, applied learning and the connection between higher education, territory and the market.
