AESM - Mafra Higher Education Academy
The Mafra Higher Education Academy (AESM) intends to be a boost in the qualification of young people and workers of the region.
The Mafra Higher Education Academy (AESM) has been offering Superior Technical Professional Courses (CTESP) since the 2021/2022 academic year. This public training offer of proximity, specialized and articulated with the needs of the local socio-economic fabric, intends to be a boost in the qualification of young people.
The Higher Education Academy of Mafra is a joint initiative between the Municipality of Mafra and the Polytechnic Institutes of Tomar and Santarém, supported by the José Saramago-Mafra Secondary School and the Technical and Vocational School of Mafra.
Objectives
What is a CTESP?
Provided by polytechnic education, it is a new type of higher education, with a duration of two years, including six months of internship, corresponding to 120 credit units (ECTS). It grants a level 5 higher professional technician diploma of the National Qualifications Framework, and, if you wish, you can later enter the licentiate study cycle, through a special competition, and acquire the respective academic degree.
Who can apply?
- Holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification;
- Holders of a level 4 professional secondary education course;
- Holders of a technologically specialized diploma (CET);
- Holders of a higher education degree who wish to obtain professional requalification;
- Holders of a higher education degree who wish to undergo vocational re-qualification;
- Holders of specialization technological diploma (CET); - Holders of a higher education degree who wish to undergo vocational re-qualification.
