CA2PT – Archaeology, Archaeosciences, and Paleontology

Serviços para IPT

The Paleontology Laboratory of CA2PT can provide internal services to the various Organizational Units of the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (IPT), contributing to the strengthening of applied research, practical training, and institutional scientific development.

Internal services include:

• Analysis, preparation, conservation, and study of archaeological and paleontological materials integrated into academic work (undergraduate, master’s, and postgraduate programs);

• Laboratory support for theses, internships, and final course projects;

• Scientific consultancy in the fields of archaeology, archaeosciences, and paleontology;

• Production and processing of thematic maps (geological, archaeological, and historical);

• Documentation and scientific photography of materials and collections;

• Support for scientific exhibitions and outreach activities.

This provision of services aims to promote interdisciplinarity, optimize existing resources, and consolidate IPT’s role as a reference institution in the fields of heritage, archaeology, and paleontology.
