CA2PT – Archaeology, Archaeosciences, and Paleontology

Enquadramento

The Archaeology Laboratory of CA2PT is based at the Centro de Estudos Politécnicos de Mação, operating in close coordination with the Instituto Terra e Memória. Its activities are directly linked to the courses offered in this area, as well as to research projects and initiatives for the enhancement and heritage management of the archaeological patrimony developed in Mação.

Research in the fields of Archaeosciences and Paleontology is based on the campus of the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, ensuring continuous coordination with the other laboratories and research units of IPT. This organization allows for an integrated management of technical and scientific resources, fostering interdisciplinarity, institutional cooperation, and the development of both applied and fundamental research projects.
