Objectives
Concepts of climate control and refrigeration. Calssification of climate control systems, air diffusion in indoor spaces, ventilation. Refrigeration applications. Steam compression system. Refrigerant fuids. Refrigeration equipments, thermal loads.

AIR CONDITIONING
1. Psychrometrics
2. Thermal comfort and climate action
3. Characterisation of thermal behaviour of buildings
4. Air conditioning systems
5. Dimensioning of refrigeration ducts
REFRIGERATION
1. Refrigeration theory and cycles and
2. Refrigerants
3. Study of the components of refrigeration plants
4. Calculation of refrigeration plants

Evaluation Methodology
The final grade (FN) for the knowledge assessment in the course will be calculated according to the following criteria:
Attendance:
2 Assignments (50%) + 5 Tasks (25%):

Assignment 1 (5 points) + Assignment 2 (5 points) + Assignment 1 (2 points) + Assignment 2 (2 points) + Assignment 3 (2 points) + Assignment 4 (2 points) + Assignment 5 (2 points)

Exam or Resit Exam:
The attendance assignments will be replaced by a written exam.
2 Assignments (50%) + 1 Written Exam (50%)

NF = 0.50.PE + 0.25.Assignment 1 + 0.25.Assignment 2

All assessments have a minimum grade of 10 points.
