Objectives
- Acquire deeper knowledge and methodological skills in the field of Sociology and Sociology of Culture.
--To develop theoretical-empirical knowledge about society with regard to cultural and consumer practices
- To apprehend and reflect on the various modes of presence of culture in everyday life, with regard to lifestyles, identities and imaginary;
- To analyze the relationship between society, culture and tourism in a context of Globalization.
- To promote knowledge of cultural activity in its various aspects;
- Develop theoretical-empirical knowledge about society with regard to cultural and consumer practices
- Identify opportunities in Society for the development of experiential tourism practices.

Program
1. The approach to culture in sociological theory: fundamental concepts of the sociology of culture
2. Places of Belonging - the issue of cultural identities;
3. Social and cultural change in modern societies;
4. Cultures in everyday life; social trajectories and practices;
5. Lifestyles, identities and forms of the imaginary;
6. The circulation of Culture; public and their differentiation;
7. Consumption, culture and cultural industries.
- Culture, leisure and tourism;
- The rediscovery of the 'Local' in the Age of the Global.

Evaluation Methodology
The Frequency Assessment includes:
A written test with consultation (40%)
Realization of a thematic work with exposition and defense (60%).
The evaluation is made in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of the Academic Regulation of IPT Schools. Students who are being evaluated by obtain a grade equal to or greater than 10 points.
Evaluation by Exam:
- - Written essay with consultation deepening one of the themes of the program (100%)

Teaching Method
The teaching methods embody a duality in the teaching-learning process, as sessions will be held with theoretical exposition of the syllabus and sessions, integrating methodologies of discussion, reflection and exposition.
