Objectives
a) situate knowledge of the tourist phenomenon in the analytical context of the anthropology of tourism;
b) acquire skills and competencies in the field of tourism anthropology in the face of cultural diversity;
c) analyze and understand the relationship between culture(s) and memory(ies)
Program
1. Anthropological perspectives of critical analysis of the cultural dimension of the tourist phenomenon
2. Dialectical relationship: cultural and tourist practices and experiences. Cultural Diversity. Case presentation
3. The role of anthropology in observing the phenomenon of experiential tourism (tourists and residents)
4. Anthropology and Performances (performance events and cultural performances: religious ceremonies, festivals, customs, parties, celebrations)
5. Social Agency: social dynamics, construction and transmission of culture
6. Anthropological essay on experiential tourism. Case studies. Discussion
Evaluation Methodology
a) Practical classes: critical reviews = 10% (based on the themes presented by the invited experts in the contexts of anthropology and tourism experiences
b) Practical thematic work = 90%
