Objectives
The goal is for students to develop a sensitivity to the importance of tourism products and experiences and the contribution they can make to the preservation and enhancement of heritage, enhancing and creating attractiveness in tourist destinations that attract tourists and meet their expectations. They understand the issues of tourism supply and demand in various contexts and variables, as well as dominant trends and the profile of the tourist consumer.
The goal is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills for the development of new tourism products and experiences.
Competencies:
-Build quality tourism products and services.
-Provide management tools that allow the design, development, promotion, and innovation of new tourism products and services.
-Understand the identity and strategic policy adopted for Portugal's main tourism products, their image, projection, and potential in foreign markets.
-Understand the concepts and recognize the importance of tourism products and experiences for the global dynamics of tourism activity. -Identify and distinguish different types of products and experiences and understand their specific components and characteristics.
-Analyze and understand trends and challenges in the development of new products and experiences.
-Identify the main tourism products and services of Portuguese destinations by region.
-Understand the identity and strategic policy adopted for Portugal's main tourism products, their image, projection, and potential in foreign markets.
