Prerequisites
Objectives
This course unit aims to equip students with advanced skills in the design and curation of tourism experiences, grounded in a critical and interdisciplinary approach that connects space, narrative, and visitordestination interaction. Through the integration of participatory methodologies and user-centred innovation, students will be able to conceptualise and implement meaningful, sustainable, and distinctive experiences. The unit includes a research component focused on the application of quantitative methods, enabling the analysis and testing of relationships between relevant variables within the context of tourism experiences. Students are expected to develop the ability to collect, interpret, and apply empirical data to support and evaluate projects, fostering a reflective and evidence-based practice. In addition to critical and creative thinking, the integration of ethical principles, cultural diversity, and environmental responsibility is emphasised, preparing students to lead innovative and research-informed projects in the tourism sector.
