Objectives
1. be able to distinguish the different types of diagrams;
2. interpret complex data, building a comprehensive infography
3. adapt infographics to the graphic rules of a publication;
4. use appropriate computer applications

Program
1. Importance of using infographics in Editorial Design;
2. Areas of activity of Infographics and the various supports
2.1 Areas: science; medicine; historical; teaching; advertising; journalism; etc.
2.2 Printed and online editorial design media: magazines, newspapers and books.
3. IT functionalities for executing infographics;
3.1 Digital, with vector, image editing and pagination programs.
4. Visual information and its relationship with knowledge
4.1 Research and synthesis of information.
5. Characteristics and physiognomy of infographics
5.1 Content: Real information
5.2 Title, input text, body, source and credit.
6. Construction methodology
6.1 Characteristics of an infographic
6.2 Grid, information orientation, content distribution, information blocks
6.3 Construction elements: color, typography, illustration, photography
6.4 Relationship in space: hierarchies, symmetry, among others.
7. Formal adaptation to the design of a publication
7.1 Coherence with the editorial project.
8. Final artwork.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: carried out through monitoring the work done during the semester (project 1 - 15%, project 2 - 15%, project 3 - 15%), assessment of the final project (40%) + attendance and participation face-to-face classes (15%).
Exam-based assessment: - a three-hour practical exam (60%) and final project (40%).
