5.5 ECTS; 2º Ano, 1º Semestre, 30,0 T + 30,0 PL , Cód. 918414.

Lecturer
- Maria Teresa da Luz Silveira (1)

(1) Docente Responsável
(2) Docente que lecciona

Prerequisites
General chemistry fundamentals.

Objectives
Provide skills on matters related with conductometry and strengthen acquired knowledge of redox reactions, precipitation reactions and complexation reactions.

Program
1 - Conductometry
2 - Redox reactions
3 ? Precipitation reactions
4 ? Complexometry and complex reactions

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment
A pass in the practical component (P) is subject to the completion of all practical assignments, attendance ( 15% of practical assessment), a mini-report containing the experimental results and the calculations of each practical assignment (15% of the practical component assessment) and two written tests on the practical assignments (70% of the practical component assessment).
The practical assessment is valid only for the academic year in which it is performed.
Students who failed the module may be exempt from submitting the laboratory work but must take the two written tests on the practical assignments. In this case, it is the classification obtained in these tests that corresponds to the practical component (P) of the final mark of the module.
The theoretical component will be assessed by two written tests (T) and has a minimum final mark of 9.5.

Exam-based assessment:
Exam assessment consists of a written test in any of the periods on theoretical subjects (T) with a minimum grade of 9.5.

The final overall grade, both from continuous and final assessment, will be the weighted average of the two components according to the formula: 0.8T+0.2P.
