Objectives
Students will acquire the fundamentals of hydraulics that will allow them to solve practical problems such as calculating flow rates, pressure drops and hydraulic power, designing ducts and pipes and channels, investigating the pressure surge phenomenon and measuring flow rates.
Program
1. Fluid properties 2. Hydrostatics 3. Hydrokinematics 4. Concepts and Fundamentals of Hydrodynamics 5. A global overview of flows. 6. Steady-state flow resistance laws 7. Constant flows under pressure 8. Variable flows under pressure 9. Free-surface flows 10. Hydrology.
Evaluation Methodology
The evaluation by attendance consists of two written tests. Each of these
Tests are classified from 0 to 10 values. The student is exempt from the exam, that is, he is approved
by frequency if you obtain a classification greater than or equal to 10 values, resulting from the sum of the 2 tests.
If the student has been admitted to the exam, he will have to take a written test (graded from 0 to 20
values) on all the subjects taught. If, in this test, the student obtains a classification
greater than or equal to 10 points, is approved.
If the student has failed the examination of the normal season, he can apply for the examination of the appeal period.
