C. Understanding the relationship between the quality of Portuguese cinema and international recognition;

Program
1. Capture the main lines of force of Portuguese cinema, from its beginnings to the presente;
2. Main works and filmmakers;
3. Main ruptures between tradition and modernity;
4. Interceptions with other arts in Portugal;
5. The common points with other cinematography and the specificities of Portuguese cinema;
6. Main aesthetic cleavages in Portuguese cinema.
Evaluation Methodology
1. As part of the assessment based on attendance at UC Cinema Português, the student will have two assessment moments. A test that measures the knowledge acquired in class and an oral presentation that must focus on one of the films seen in class. Each exercise is worth 45%; The total of the 2 exercises is worth 90%, the remaining 10% is assessed on attendance and participation.
2. Assessment by exam
2.1 Normal Season, Appeal Season and Special Season: 1 theoretical-practical exercise will be requested on the contents taught - worth 100%.
The evaluation is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of the Academic Regulations of IPT Schools. Students who obtain a grade equal to or greater than 10 are exempt from the Exam.
