Objectives
The goal is for future professionals in building conservation and restoration to be able to:
A-Know terms of reference for project development
B-Understand pathologies arising from the construction system
C-Master emerging techniques
D-Work collaboratively with professionals from other specialties
E-Identify and develop a professional trajectory
Program
I - New theories and methodologies for conservation in buildings and monuments II - The different specialties of conservation and restoration applicable to buildings and their interconnections III - Interaction of conservation and restoration activities with other specialties in the project IV - Relationships between conservators and restorers and other stakeholders V - Advanced scientific techniques for understanding and interpreting pathologies VI - Preparation of the specialty project
Evaluation Methodology
Develop a group project, with 2 to 4 students, on the topics proposed at the beginning of the semester.
The project consists of 3 parts/modules corresponding to the statement proposed by each professor.
The project must be submitted in PDF format, with written and drawn pieces.
The presentation of the projects will take place on the last day of class and will last 4 minutes + 10 minutes of discussion.
