Objectives
1. sensitize students to the role of Design and designers in our society;
2. develop critical and interventive skills in the design area, particularly in graphic communication.

5. Jan Tschichold and the New Typography;
6. Eric Gill and the Gill Sans;
7. International Typographic Style:
7.1. Armin Hofmann, Carlo Vivarelli and others;
8. New Wave;
9. American Modernism;
10. Retro Design;
11. The pioneers of digital design

Evaluation Methodology
Assessment during the attendance period:
The assessment includes theoretical work completed in class (worth 50%), a midterm test (worth 20%), and a final test (worth 30%).

Assessment by exam or retake:
Only students who have completed at least six theoretical work assignments during the attendance period and attended at least two-thirds of the classes will be admitted to the exam.
The assessment, like the assessment during the attendance period, includes theoretical work completed in class (worth 50%) and a test (worth 50%).
