Objectives
Understand the political-cultural reality and the economic-social development of the western region of the Iberian Peninsula, with particular emphasis between the 9th and 15th centuries.
Understand the reasons that led to the formulation of a Pre-Romanesque aesthetic.
Relate the independence of the Kingdom and the territorial organization, with the adoption of the Romanesque style.
Relate the expansion to the south of the territory and the spread of Religious Orders in Portugal with the emergence of the Gothic.
Identify the main artistic manifestations produced in Portugal in the mentioned period.
Characterize the remaining Romanesque and Gothic works of art.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: two written works, one on Portuguese Romanesque Art and the other on Gothic Art in Portugal, depending on the approval of a final average of 10 points. However, 7,5 is the minimum mark required in one of the assignments; Whoever has a mark lower than 7,5 in one assignment will be admitted to the exam.
Final Examination: written test about all the subjects included in the program. Approval with a minimum score of 10 values.
