Objectives
1. Produce digital files for a graphic project;
2. Use correctly typography, colours, images and printing areas
3. Produce correct final files for imposition and printing according to ISO 12647.

Program
1. File formats, print marks, bleed and slug;
1.1. Creating files: dimensions and definition of workspace;
2. Fonts management;
2.1. Correction and verification of text;
2.2. Typography and type management;
3. Colour management;
3.1. Color composition;
3.2. Creation and use of ICC profiles;
3.3. Transparencies, trapping and overlapping;
3.4. Application Color Settings;
3.5. Color proof;
4. Preparing images for print;
4.1. Adequate image formats;
4.2. Image adjustments;
4.3. Linked or embedded images;
4.4. Appropriate resolution;
5. Indesign Live Preflight tools;
5.1. Creation of PDF files;
5.2. Preflight;
5.3. PDF presets;
6. Indesign package and pdf files;
6.1. Communicate with the printing company;
6.2. Technical specifications.

Evaluation Methodology
Ongoing assessment: practical assignments (90%) and class attendance (10%).
Exam assessment: resolution of a summative practical exercise.
