Objectives
Develop skills in design calculus of liquid-liquid extraction, gas-liquid absorption and adsorption equipments.
Be able to identify and use advanced separation processes such as membrane and supercritical extraction, ionic permutation and chromatography.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: open-book written test (a different test for each student) (75%) and individual assignment on one of the chapters defined by the instructor with presentation (25%). Minimum pass mark: 9.5 out of 20.
Exam-based assessment: same as written test (the work can be done from scratch or improved).
