Objectives
This course aims to convey the fundamentals of the behaviour of pilasters, beams and slabs made of reinforced concrete and also the reinforcing structures and its detailing. The students should be able to document the criteria and theories on the behaviour of structural elements to be dimensioned and respective processes as well as prepare and draft general documents for consultation. And also to perform calculations and detailed design of reinforced concrete elements, inherent in the expertise of the civil engineering profession.
Program
The constituent materials of reinforced concrete;
General safety activities and criteria;
Safety checks of ultimate limit states for resistance;
Safety checks of ultimate limit state for buckling;
Basics of reinforcing steel;
Reinforced concrete structures made of continuous beams and frames;
Slabs.
Evaluation Methodology
Evaluation of the proposed work that has the weight in the evaluation of 34% and written test that has the weight at 66% rating.
The written test will have two components, theoretical and practical.
In the practical part consultation will be admitted, in frequency, or during the exams and will have the weight in the written test evaluation of 70%, with a minimum grade of 34% in this part.
The theoretical part will be without consultation, in frequency, or in the exam seasons and will have the weight in written test rating of 30%, with a minimum grade of 34% in this part.
The Classification will be from 0 (Zero) values to 20 (twenty) values and will be approved with a minimum classification of 9.5 (nine point five) values.
