Objectives
Students will learn about the generation of power through renewable sources, especially: mini-hydro, photovoltaic and wind systems as well as power storage systems.

Program
PV systems: characteristics, operation, assembly, sizing calculations, design and operation.
Wind Energy: conversion limits, performance, power regulation, conversion systems and their characteristics. Wind farms, sizing and production control of active and reactive power.
Energy storage systems: batteries, supercapacitors, flywheels, fuel cells, pumping ...

Evaluation Methodology
Written test: theoretical (40%) Practical (60%).
