Objectives
Risk Management is a methodology for analysis and decision support that currently knows multiple applications in the field of heritage conservation. The main objective of Integrated Risk Management is to familiarize students with these different applications, associated concepts and potentialities for its use in different scopes of conservation and restoration, to enable them to:
a) analyse, in a systematic and detailed manner, the risks that threaten a particular object, collection or site;
b) assess the risks impending on a particular object, site or collection, and define intervention priorities for their treatment;
c) design and implement preventive conservation plans, including monitoring and maintenance schemes;
d) monitor the preparation and implementation of security plans;
e) communicate the risks and raise awareness of the importance of their management.

Evaluation Methodology
Theoretical-practical classes of compulsory attendance for exam admittance.
The evaluation consists of participation in classes (30%) + written research work (70%), to submit during the exams period.

Teaching Method
Topics will be presented and explained in the theoretical classes, followed by theoretical-practical lessons where the same topics will be exemplified, analysed and debated by the students.
