Prerequisites
Objectives
Familiarize students with the fundamentals, characteristics and operation of electrical machines. Obtain technical skills of analysis and design of systems that integrate electrical machines.
Program
1.Operation principles of electric machines;
2.The transformer;
3.The synchronous machine;
4.The asynchronous machine;
5.Others types of rotary machines (brushless, coreless, step, etc.);
6.Direct current machines (motor / generator: series, parallel and compound permanent magnet);
7.Introduction to power electronics and its use to command electric machines.
Evaluation Methodology
Test (65%), laboratory component (35%).
