Objectives

Study of science and information technology and communication, with regard to understanding the data, information and knowledge in the biomedical sciences and its application in the implementation of health systems in order to solve problems, support professionals in the decision making task, increasing the safety, effectiveness, efficiency and equity in the provision of healthcare to patients. Enable students to acquire a professional specialization, providing them with advanced knowledge in particular: the structure and organization of national healthcare systems, electronic health records, integration, implementation and evaluation of technologies and information systems in health technologies storage, processing and data communication systems; clinical decision support, trends and developments in technology and information systems in health, analysis and processing of biomedical data.
