Objectives
The students should understand aspects associated to natural heritage and scientific and technical actions for the promotion of tourist activities and for the development of tourism programs, environmental education and nature conservation.
Program
1- Identification and characterization of nature tourism typologies;
2- Identification of typologies and location of protected and sensitive areas in Portugal;
3- Tourism activities related with natural heritage and nature conservation
4- Geotourism and rural tourism
5- Thermal and health tourism
6- Responsible behaviour and sustainability in the tourism sector.
Evaluation Methodology
Written essay and presentation, worth 60% and 40% respectively.
