Prerequisites
Intermediate knowledge of Mathematical Analysis I and II and Linear Algebra.
Objectives
The students should become familiar with the main concepts of Numerical Methods and Numerical Analysis, namely numerical algorithms for linear systems of equations, nonlinear equations and systems of nonlinear equations, polynomial interpolation, numerical integration and first order equations.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: two written tests and computer-aided projects.
Exam assessment: one written test.
