Objectives
Provide the foundations of the main techniques and methodologies in Statistics, Complex Analysis and Transforms that will deevlop in the students analysis and reasoning skills which will allow them to design and implement solutions to the various problems and facilitate decision-making.
Program
1. Random variables. Some probability distributions;
2. Sample distributions. Parameter estimation;
3. Hypothesis tests. Correlation and simple linear regression;
4. Complex numbers. Analytic functions;
5. Complex integration;
6. Fourier, Laplace and Z Transforms.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: 2 written tests
Exam assessment: 1 written test
