Prerequisites
General knowledge of the printing processes and its production flows, machinery, raw materials and consumables

Objectives
The students should be able to
-systematize and standardize prepress, Printing and Post-Printing procedures in order to ensure the quality of print jobs.
- master production flowcharts and apply quality control in production.

Program
Module I:
Study of the fundamental principles of the paper manufacturing process and paper pulp properties
Module II:
Introduction to the characterization and quality control of paper with regard to its intrinsic properties and its implications on printed product.
Module III:
Quality control in Prepress, Printing and Post-printing

Evaluation Methodology
Written assessment test.
Continuous assessment of laboratory sessions and final report
Continuous assessment of individual and group exercises with descriptive worksheets.
