Prerequisites
Basics of Graphic Design.
Objectives
The students should be able to:
sketch up and produce layouts for editorial design;
discriminate between the different types of publications;
configure paginations for different kinds of publications.
Program
An introduction to Editorial Design. Analysis of key illustrative examples and use of grids and fonts. Pagination software (InDesign). Grids. Typographic hierarchy and visual consistency within a publication. Types of page construction.
Evaluation Methodology
Assessment of the projects carried out by the students.
