Objectives
Provide the students with a comprehensive overview of information and press coverage in war zones as well as historical, cultural, diplomatic and strategic elements for a critical, informed reading of contemporary political-military crises.

1.3. The "CNN effect"
1.8. "Incorporated" journalism
2. The mediatisation of war
2.1. Media coverage of war conflicts in the turn of the millennium
2.2. Present international scene and the major areas of conflict
2.3. Armed Forces and the Media
2.6. The evolution of the war phenomenon

Evaluation Methodology
Assessment will be mainly based on practical assignments involving documentary research and testimony collection and class debates.
