Prerequisites

Objectives
at the end of the course, the student must know the basic concepts of business administration; understand the interconnection between the different areas/functions and recognize the importance of the business plan.

The purpose of this u.c. is to foster the innovative, entrepreneurial and business management spirit of students, providing them with a generic vision of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and its determinants and conditioning factors, transmitting the main concepts, models and tools that allow them to analyze and participate intelligently in the process of creating and managing new businesses.
As the business plan is an essential instrument in the process of creating and managing new businesses, this subject, after an introduction to the innovation and entrepreneurial process, will focus on transmitting to students the essential components of an effective business plan and the generic skills for analysis and a first approach to its construction.
Therefore, it is intended that students are able to identify and analyze the phenomenon of Entrepreneurship/management, that they possess the main concepts, models and tools that enable them to participate intelligently in the process of creating and managing start-ups and that they acquire a positive predisposition for the aforementioned process.

III - THE ENTREPRENEUR 1. Definitions of entrepreneur.
2. The decision to undertake.
3. The entrepreneur’s history.
4. Differentiate between inventors and entrepreneurs.

IV – THE INNOVATION PROCESS AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF OPPORTUNITIES.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous Assessment: Carrying out group work. Students are approved with a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 (nine and a half) points.
Assessment by Exam - Normal Period: Completion of a piece of work. Students are approved with a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 (nine and a half) points.
Assessment by Exam - Resource Period: Completion of a piece of work. Students are approved with a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 (nine and a half) points.

Teaching Method
Theoretical sessions with presentation of content and more practical sessions with presentation of current topics, discussion of case studies and development of practical work.
