Objectives
To integrate the training of sportspeople into a pedagogical perspective of citizenship and the transmission of fundamental values within the framework of an open and democratic society;
Promote the recognition and appropriate response to each situation, to the moral, ethical, aesthetic, ecological, legal and deontological issues that arise in the exercise of their professional activity; To confront students with the problems raised by professional practice in the field of sport, promoting the development of the necessary skills and knowledge appropriate to their professional activity; To expose trainees to different sports, allowing them to identify and recognise activities, functions and tasks that they would enjoy personally and, consequently, pursue academically and professionally; Strengthen competences and attitudes for good professional integration, with regard to interpersonal relationships, personal availability and
innovative service; To experience the dynamisation of sporting events in a training and competition context; Provide accompanied professional experiences; Providing an exploration of the teaching content/knowledge acquired in the reality of the world of work in the area of sports technology; Mobilise technological resources to support sports development; Enable the study and knowledge of the specific forms of organisation and work of entities working in the field of sports training; Enable students to explore and experiment with proposals for professional innovation; Develop a creative and critical spirit in the solutions proposed.

Program
1. Accompanied professional experience activities, with the development of progressive autonomy, in the scientific and technological field of sports training and competition: production of activity plans and reports (daily and weekly) that require the student to reflect on the practices experienced, allowing them to develop a critical sense of their own sporting environment; definition of personal, technical-professional and technological objectives and strategies, with a view to improving their own qualities and competences, as well as for the development of the host organisation itself.
2. Planning, executing, evaluating and interpreting sports training and competition: the aim is for students to experience the different stages in the development of sporting activity (initially by systematically observing the tasks carried out by the coaches who are part of the host organisation and, at a later stage, by contributing to the operationalisation of these same activities); with regard to training and competition, the aim is for students to be able to know and understand the organisation and requirements of each moment, as well as to be proactive and dynamic in seeking to add information and value to the work of the technical team they are part of.

Evaluation Methodology
The initial condition for the Internship is the completion of the established number of internship hours (750 total working hours, of which 30 are contact hours and 640 are internship hours) - failure to complete the established number of hours will result in automatic failure for the student.

The assessment of the CU is based on the work carried out by the student as part of the continuous assessment, through the following activities and tasks:

i. Individual Internship Plan, PIE (20%) - a single document produced at the beginning of the internship (presentation of the host entity, description of the objectives to be achieved and methodologies to be developed);

ii. Planning, Intervention and Reflection, PIR (60%) - activities and tasks carried out (session and weekly plans, session and weekly reports);

iii. Final Internship Report, RFE (20%) - single document produced at the end of the internship (analysis of the tasks and activities carried out during the internship);

The final assessment of the course unit is obtained using the following formula: CU = (PIEx0.20) + (PIRx0.60) + (RFEx0.20), which must have a minimum grade of 9.50 or higher for the student to pass.

As this is an eminently theoretical-practical course unit involving continuous interaction with athletes and other sports agents, it is not possible to assess the course unit through a final assessment/exam.

Teaching Method
The main teaching method is the daily and weekly experience of the activities and tasks carried out at the host organisation. In addition to this, regular meetings with the academic supervisor are another form of teaching.

Software used in class
The academic supervisor will use Microsoft Office software to prepare and share topics of interest to the students and the Teams Platform (or Zoom/Colibri) to hold weekly meetings with the students on intership.
