Objectives
Develop knowledge and skills regarding Artificial Intelligence tools.
Use Artificial Intelligence tools applied to teaching and learning mathematics.
Promote critical thinking among participants regarding challenges related to the use of Artificial Intelligence.

1.5. How to incorporate generative AI into mathematics teaching and learning?

2. Introduction to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or Gemini)
2.1 What are these tools?
2.2 How do these tools work?
2.3 Exploration of personalised assistants
3. Applications of AI tools in mathematics teaching
3.1. Understanding what a prompt is and examples of useful prompts
3.2. Solving basic area and volume calculation problems
3.3. Solving equations, inequalities, and systems of linear equations
3.4. Calculating domains, codomains of functions, and their graphical representation
3.5. Solving trigonometry problems
3.6. Solving descriptive statistics problems
3.7. Combinatorial calculation problems
3.8. Probability problems
3.9. Construction of small routines in Python
4. Discussion of ethical issues, challenges and potential obstacles in the use of AI platforms in mathematics education, as well as solutions to overcome them

Teaching Method
This course is based on a pedagogical model designed for hybrid teaching, i.e., face-to-face, with the possibility of transmission by videoconference. Problems will be posed with a view to critical analysis of the use of AI tools.
