2.Develop critical thinking and reflective capacity regarding theoretical, ethical and deontological principles, integrating such reflection into analysis, decision making and conservation restoration practice.
3.Deepen and apply scientific, technical and methodological concepts relevant to the object of study and intervention, as well as to the area and specialisation of the internship in conservation and restoration, demonstrating sound justification and critical reflection in the written report.
4.Develop skills in documentation, recording and communication of the intervention, in accordance with institutional standards and international best practices in conservation and restoration.
5.Develop sociorelational skills and integrate into the working dynamics of the host institution, collaborating with teams in collections care, conservation and restoration, and museology, and understanding procedures, responsibilities and workflows.
Program
The contents vary according to the object of study and intervention, as well as the area and specialisation of the internship in conservation and restoration, and are defined in accordance with the Internship Plan prepared by the student in articulation and agreement with the supervisor and the academic advisor(s). The contents are operationalised through the development of techniques and methodologies within the tasks established in the Internship Plan, duly accompanied by the supervisor and under the guidance of the academic advisor(s).
Evaluation Methodology
Assessment is carried out through the internship report and its public defence before a jury composed of an examiner with competence in the area/specialisation of the internship, one of the academic advisors, and a chair of the jury, in accordance with the Regulations of Masters Degree Programmes. The final classification results from the weighting of the technical scientific quality of the report, the critical justification, the documentation of the study/intervention, and the students performance during the public defence.
