Objectives
Students should be able to understand the history and evolution of the theories of Human Resource Management, in order to be provided with a solid knowledge base on the issue of organizations, their definition and organizational objectives.
Program
Chapter I Introduction; Chapter II - Organizational Structures; Chapter III - Organizational design; Chapter IV - Analytical structures: organizational metaphors; Chapter V - Organizational Theories; Chapter VI - Evolution of the study of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior; Chapter VII - Presentation of Case Studies, according to the taught theory.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: end-of-module test (60%) and assignment presentation (40%). Requirement: minimum of 50% of overall mark in each component.
Examination: final written test
