Objectives
Understand the working principles of the main semiconductor elements. Ability to resolve single circuits using diodes, bipolar transistors and MOS. Ability to design elementary assemblies using diodes, transistors and operational amplifiers

Program
•Operational amplifiers.
-Properties of semiconductors.
-Semiconductor elements; diode, bipolar transistor, MOS transistor, -JFET transistor, optoelectronica, Hall effect sensor, Thyristor, -Triac and Diac.
-Basic assemblies with diodes; rectifiers, limiters, multipliers. •Basic assemblies with transistors.
-Simple amplification floors. Walking cascode. -Comparators and comparators with hysteresis.
-Nonlinear applications; relaxation oscillators, precision rectifiers, logarithmic and exponential amplifiers.
-Digital electronics, TTL, ECL and CMOS logic families; memory technologies, RAM, ROM, EEPROM, FLASH. Microelectronics technologies. -Single, cascode, Widlar and Wilson power supplies. Self-polarizing current sources. Starting circuits.
-Differential pair.
-Active loads. Amplifiers with active load. Differential pair with active load.
-Precision voltage sources (bandgap).
-Linear power supplies. Short circuit, temperature and over voltage protection circuits. Foldback. Design of linear fountains. Examples of control circuits.
-Rectifiers with Thyristors. Use of Triacs and Diacs.
-Measuring instruments
-Introduction to sensors

Evaluation Methodology
Written Examination 70%, Lab work 30%.
Mandatory lab assignments carried out throughout the semester (30%). the sum of the two components needs to be iqual or greater than 9.5 values.
