Objectives
Acquire essential knowledge for the management process of civil construction projects, specifically in:
O1. Contract management processes.
O2. Preparation and management of
different resources (labor, materials, and equipment) and tasks.
O3. Planning and management of
activities and costs.
The goal is for students to develop skills that enable them to:
C1. Understand and interpret the administrative and technical processes of basic construction contract management.
C2. Manage technical aspects and control resources (labor
, materials, and equipment) for contracts.
C3. Plan and control construction activities and costs.
Program
1. Construction Contracts: Types of contracts; Phases of a contract; Preparation and execution of a contract.
2. Basic Documentation: Project; Budget; Planning; Production schedule; Coding.
3. Site Organization: Overview; Labor
; Materials; Machinery; Subcontracts; Support means and fixed facilities; Services to be installed.
4. Cost Control: Data collection; Element distribution; Element valuation; Cost comparison.
Evaluation Methodology
A written exam is required for all assessment periods. The final grade is based on the performance in the written exam. A minimum score of 10 out of 20 is required to pass the course.
