Objectives

1. Conceptual delimitation of the course unit
2. Perception and knowledge (visual memory and visual thought)
3. Neurophysiology of sight
4. The Gestalt theory and the fundamental laws of perceptive grouping
5. Subjective outlines and visual illusions
6. Shadows
7. Colour and colour combinations (contrast and analogy) main characteristics
8. Colour and legibility
9. Colour expression (psychological and psycho-sociological meaning)
Evaluation Methodology
1. A written exam at the end of the semester for admission or exemption from the final exam.
2. Written assessment at the established examination times.
3. Specific conditions: if in any of the written tests the classification is greater than or equal to 16 (sixteen) marks, the student is admitted to an oral test (of equal weight to the written test) and the final mark is the average of the tests. If the student does not attend, a mark of 15 (fifteen) will be awarded.
