Objectives
A. Students should be able to outline the landscape of the Media, identifying the objectives and missions of each Publishing Group, as well as how they are organized. The functioning of these business groups should be understood not only as content producers, but also as companies that have increased social responsibility compared to any other type of company.
B. Students should master and understand a set of concepts that are transversal to all the topics covered, namely, ownership, concentration, transparency, independence, and pluralism.
C. Students should be able to envision the Media as organizations whose work and produced content are based on the public interest, but which need to have financial sustainability. They should also understand how the three main components are articulated: information, education, and entertainment.
