Objectives
1. Understand the origins of strategic thinking;
2. Study various schools of strategic thought;
3. Analyze strategic alternatives for companies, taking into account the specific nature of each organization and the characteristics of the industries and clusters in which they operate;
4. Identify the best strategies for a company;
5. Develop critical thinking regarding strategic analysis, formulation, and planning;
6. Learn to manage information, information systems, and their application within a company's strategy;
7. Develop management analysis capabilities, focusing on information and its integration into corporate strategy.

5.1. Business definition;
5.2. The five basic competitive strategies.
6. Strategy alignment for adaptation to specific sector and company situations.
7. Information systems: concepts, challenges, and changes.
8. Management analysis, incorporating information and integration into corporate strategy.
9. Case studies

Evaluation Methodology
1) Continuous assessment:
- 1 written exam: 50% (minimum score of 8 points);
- Practical assignment with presentation: 50%;
2) Non-continuous assessment:
- Written exam: 100%;

Teaching Method
Theoretical-practical classes in which the basic material is presented and discussed, with presentation of case studies that support the theoretical material. Strategic Plans are developed and monitored throughout the classes.
