Objectives
1.Know the basic concepts and principles of Quality and apply them to organizational processes. Apply good communication rules.
2.Know the normative references for Quality, Environmental and Safety Management Systems and understand their framework and the benefit of Integrated Systems.
3.Understand and implement the requirements of NPENISO 9001 and NPENISO 17025, in the current versions: apply all requirements in the development of processes, procedures and documents. Know the principles of audits and apply them.
4.Implement measures for continuous improvement based on the PDCA cycle.

2. Life cycle and fitness for use.
3. Evolution of the Quality Function in organizations.
4. Quality Management and Quality Support Systems
5. Portuguese Quality System.
6. Quality costs
7. Quality control
8. Framework and requirements of ISO Standards for Quality, Environment and Safety Management. Integrated systems.
9. Certification of companies and accreditation of laboratories.
10. Quality Tools.
11. Analysis of the requirements of NP EN ISO 9001 and NPENISO 17025, current version;
12. Implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on ISO 9001, current version.
13. Quality Audits.
14. Continuous improvement.
15. Importance of communication in the implementation of QMS
16. Importance of Leadership in the implementation of QMS

Evaluation Methodology
CONTINUOUS EVALUATION
Attendance is mandatory in 2/3 of classes. The final grade is the arithmetic mean of:
1. Project, mandatory, individual, carried out in the classroom (50%).
2. Written test (50%).
Rating on a scale of 0 to 20 values

EVALUATION IN EXAM PERIODS
Students with attendance equal to or greater than 2/3 (two thirds) and who have obtained a minimum of 8 points in the Project and the Written Test during the semester will be admitted to the exam.

The exam consists of a written test (100%) Approval: final grade equal to or greater than 10 (ten) points.

Teaching Method
Expository and interactive classes with presentation of theoretical concepts and practical components with debate on the interpretations and methodologies proposed for quality assurance and management. Analysis of real cases.
