Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students should be familiar with the basic concepts of management and understand the interconnection between the various areas/functions.

1. What an organisation is
2. Management by objectives
3. The production function
4. The financial function
5. The commercial function
6. The human resources function

Evaluation Methodology
2 written exams with a 50% weighting each. If students score less than 6 in the first written test, they will automatically be eligible to sit the exam. Students with a mark of less than 10 in the continuous assessment will be eligible to sit the exam.
Written test in exam periods worth 100 per cent.

Teaching Method
Theoretical sessions with presentation of content and practical sessions with presentation of current issues and discussion of case studies; literature review on the topics under discussion.
