Objectives
- Analyze conflict and its management in the practice of peaceful and constructive dispute resolution.
- Analyze the interdependencies in a global society between those involved and the consequences on their dynamics, groups, and societies as one of the enabling factors of conflict.
- Analyze the description of conflicts and develop their normative prescription.
- Develop preventive measures for conflict within organizations.
- Address conflicts in terms of seeking a mutually beneficial agreement for the parties, exploring common objectives, and creating alternatives to achieve compromise.
- Resolve conflicts constructively.

Program
1. Definition of the concept of conflict; Levels of analysis and categories of conflict; Factors that generate conflicts; Dynamics of conflict situations; Conflicts as risks and opportunities.
2. Principles of conflict management and resolution; Conflict management styles and their different taxonomies; Obstacles to conflict management; Skills required for constructive conflict management.
3. Definition of negotiation, types and stages, and cognitive and behavioral effectiveness. Strategies and tactics.
4. Nature of mediation, characteristics and types; Advantages and limitations; Models, stages, and factors.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: Case studies and operational tasks 60%, final test: 40%.
Minimum grade for exemption from the final exam: 10 points.
Final assessment: written exam.
Minimum grade for passing the final assessment: 10 points.
