Prerequisites
Objectives
Know the national legal framework in which individual and collective labour relations are developed, the institutional frameworks and the types of contracts. The aim is for students entering the labour market to be familiar with the legal reality of the labour market, the players involved and the appropriate tools for resolving disputes that may arise.
The aim is to enable students to respond to these day-to-day issues and resolve problems relating to contracts and the violation of workers' personality rights.
Program
1. Concept of Labour Law. Characteristics of this branch of law.
2. Institutional frameworks.
3. Sources of labour law.
4. Labour disputes and ways of resolving them.
5. The individual labour contract - typology and characteristics.
6. Subjects of the contract, their rights and duties.
7. Personality rights.
8. Equality and non-discrimination at work.
9. Parenthood.
10. The elements of the labour contract: location, remuneration.
11. Absences and holidays.
12. Forms of termination of employment contracts.
Evaluation Methodology
In addition to worksheets, which will be carried out fortnightly via the elearning platform, to which only registered students will have access, continuous assessment will be carried out by two written tests, with a weighting of 50% in the final grade. Only students with a mark of 8 or more and who have completed all the worksheets will be admitted to the 2nd test, failing which they will immediately be admitted to the final exam.
Having obtained a mark of more than 8 in the 1st test and having completed the intermediate worksheets, the mark for the 2nd test will only be counted once the student has completed all the worksheets to be submitted after the 1st test.
Students who do not fulfil these requirements for continuous assessment will be admitted to an exam.
The exam will be a written test, which must be passed with a mark higher than 10.
Students with a mark of 10 or more are exempt from the exam.
