Objectives
The students should familiarise themselves with the concept of organisational culture and how to create and change it. They should be aware of the significance of communication within an organisation.

Program
Chapter I - Introduction
1.1 - The Theoretical Concept of Organization.
1.2 - The Origins of Administration.
1.3 - The importance of studying Organizational Behavior.
1.4 - Ways to consider Organizations
1.5 - Organizational Processes, Structure and Design.
1.6 - Effectiveness in Organizations.
Chapter II - Communication and organization
2.1 – Sources and criteria of communication quality
2.2 - Identify the importance of studying communication
2.3 - Inevitability and universality of communication
2.4 - Communication as a continuous process
2.5 - Communication as sharing of meanings between individuals
2.6 - The role of communication in the social system
2.7 - Elements of communication
2.8 - Intrinsic and extrinsic factors in the communication process
2.9 – Characteristics and barriers of the communication process
2.10 – Relevance and different types of communication
2.11 – Tube, circuit and dance models
2.12 - Functions of organizational communication
2.13 – Organizational positivity
2.14 - Aspects for improving the organizational communication process
2.15 – Ethics and communication in organizations
Chapter III - Organizational Culture
3.1 - Organizational Culture.
3.2 - Socialization and Culture.
3.3 - Characteristics of Effective Socialization.
3.4 - Organizational Culture and Societal Value Systems.
3.5 - Socialization as an Integration Strategy.
3.6 - Individual Differences and Behavior at Work

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: written test (60%) and assignment (40%) with at least half of these marks in each component. A mark of 10/20 exempts students from examination.
Final assessment: written exam (100%)
