Prerequisites

Objectives
It is intended that students acquire basic knowledge of materials mechanics and types of structures normally applied in works within the scope of renewable energies. Knowledge and classificationof materials used: metallic, wood and reinforced concrete. Types of actions in strutures and subsequent and derived efforts simple calculations of current strutures. simplified methods of calculation of efforts diagram and deformations of the struture. All this knowledge will bve embroidered in a Pratical and useful way.

Program
1- Types of materials used : Steel, wood and Concrete
2- Technical classification: steel, wood and concrete.
3- Metal construction elements.
4- Mechanical characteristics of metal profiles.
5- Struture sizing actions.
6- Types of efforts in the struture: normal effort, cutting efforts and bending moment and torsion
7- Deformation of materials; modulus of elasticity; Poisson coefficient.
8- General approach to material strength topics.
9- Simplified methods for calculation the efforts of simple strutures. Software.
10- Approach to strutural support strutures applied in the context of renewable energies.
11- Construction techniques applied to strutures within the scope of renewable energies.




Evaluation Methodology
Practical/Theoretical teste worth 20 values. Frequency or final exams. The Student will be tested with a minimum of 9,5 values.
