Objectives
The students will have an overview of the legal system. They should understand the dynamic of legal diplomas and existing sources of law. They should also be familiar with the political organisation of the State and be able to identify the branches of law.
Program
1.Introduction. Concept of Law.
2.The elements of Law.
3.Sources of Law.
4.Branches of Law.
5.Interpretation and integration of Law.
6.Legal relationship.
Evaluation Methodology
In addition to the completion of worksheets on a fortnightly basis via the e-learning platform, which is accessible only to registered students, continuous assessment will be carried out by two written tests, with a weighting of 50% in the final grade. Only students who have achieved a mark of 8 or above and have completed all the worksheets will be able to take the second test. In the event that they fail to meet these criteria, they will be immediately admitted to the final examination.
A student who has obtained a mark of more than 8 in the initial test and completed the intermediate worksheets will have their mark for the second test counted only once they have completed all the worksheets to be submitted after the initial test.
Students who fail to meet the aforementioned requirements for continuous assessment will be admitted to an examination.
The examination will be in the form of a written test, which must be passed with a mark of 10 or above.
Students who achieve a mark of 10 or above are exempt from the examination.
