Objectives
The objective of this course is to gain an understanding of the theoretical approaches to the nature of organisations and the main existing organisational models.
Program
1. Concept of management, functions and levels 2. Organisational principles 3. Planning and the decision-making process 4. Individual and social determinants of organisational dynamics 5. Organisational models 6. Diagnosis and organisational change 7. Knowledge management and organisational learning. 8. internationalisation of companies 9. practical cases.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment:
- Group work with presentation (worth 40%);
- Individual practical cases, solved in class (worth 10%);
- Individual written test (worth 50%).
Students who score less than 8 (eight) marks in the written test will sit the exam.
The exam and the resit exam will consist of only one written assessment, a test, and must have a minimum mark of 10 (ten marks) to pass the course.
