(1) Docente Responsável
(2) Docente que lecciona
Prerequisites
NA
Objectives
a) Understand the methods of analytical photometry in analog and digital media, and apply them in different practical cases
b) Qualify the student to use the large format camera in all its functions, and to the specificities of the photosensitive media used
c) Develop a project in architectural photography, using the large format camera, applying the acquired theoretical knowledge (camera movements, perspective correction, analytical photometry, developing and printing manipulation)
Program
1) Revisions of technical procedures: checking acquired technical knowledge.
2) Analytical photometry: Zone System. Studio portraiture, case studies using analogue and digital media.
3) Large format cameras; use of optical means and photosensitive supports; chemical processing.
4) Architectural photography: image collection, case studies, problem solving.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment:
Practical: 3 practical exercises, each valued at 30% of the final grade. 1 test valued at 5% of the final grade. Participation and attendance valued at 5% of the final grade.
All assessment elements must be handed in during the continuous assessment period, on the stipulated dates. Those who score at least 9.5/20 in each assessment element are exempt from the exam. Anyone who scores less than 8/20 in the practical component is excluded from the exam.
Exam periods: submission of elements of the practical component with insufficient evaluation. Assessment in exam periods will be calculated in the same way as in continuous assessment periods.
